Sofia Vergara

Sofia Margarita Vergara Vergara was born and lived within Barranquilla, Colombia. Her mother, Margarita Vergara Davila De Vergara, works as a housewife. Julio Enrique Vergara Robayo provides cattle for meat processing industries. She is one of five sisters. She attended a bilingual private school in Spanish as well as English. Following her studies in pre-dental, Sofia began to work within the modeling and TV industry. Sofia did not get noticed at the beach by professional photographer. This led to her landing various modeling jobs as well as TV appearances. Models were already runway-ready at age 23. Between 1995 and 1998, she was co-hosting a traveling show, Fuera de serie (1995) in which she gained recognition in her native United States. Her first appearance was in 2002's crime show Big Trouble. Her breakout role was Gloria Delgado on the American television series Modern Family (2009).
